Carpe Diem

So here's the deal with this journal. I saw it a few months ago on Amazon, thought very hard about getting it, and then decided not to. A few months later I saw it again on Tieka's blog and fell in love with it all over again... but was still unsure. I wouldn't know if I would write in it. It languished in my basket for two weeks until I finally decided to take the plunge. And just look how pretty it is!

Thankfully I've been writing in this every day so far because it's actually a really good motivator. Seeing all the things I need to do on pretty paper makes me more inspired to do them, for sure. I also love the illustrated pages which have various motivational messages on, and they're illustrated so beautifully. I suppose this is my first official step in making sure I get my goals done this year, and so far they're on track!

Did any of you buy a new journal? How are your resolutions going so far?

  3. I love this, I didn't buy a journal or make resolutions (just bought a filofax for my work meetings and appointments - how boring eh?!) I might have to check this out!

  5. Ahh, this is so cute! I would feel exactly like you about it though, it's so pretty I wouldn't want to ruin it by writing in it! I do agree that seeing your goals on nice paper really makes you more motivated to achieve them though, I always have my goals on my pin board all nicely decorated with illustrations & written in nice pens .etc ! :) I do need a new journal really, using my iPhone is just not the same!

  6. I love colorful books like that! The only problem is that I wouldn't want to write in it, to keep the pages pristine and pretty. Even so, there's something very different about writing down goals rather than keeping them in your head~

  7. Such a pretty journal! I'd feel so bad writing in it!
Have you heard of Wreck This Journal? It has all these instructions inside telling you how to destroy it but it looks so neat and pretty new...I almost couldn't bring myself to do any of it!
Good thing this journal is just for writing, not for ripping or stomping on XD

    1. I have indeed! I don't think I'd have it in me to purposefully destroy an awesome-looking journal... I'm way too much of a perfectionist! xo

  9. I'd love to purchase a gorgeous journal but right now I just have my student diary/notepad. I always like to nosey inside other people's diaries though so I love posts like this :)
Like you, I'm definitely more motivated to do things when they are down on paper but I could still do with having a bit more motivation! Surprisingly though, I'm not doing too bad with my resolutions :)
I'm really glad I found your blog hun!!
