Beauty Resolution #1: Lotions

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret: I don't use body moisturiser that often. It's just one of those things that I can't be bothered to do or just forget after getting out of the shower.. I know, terrible! However body lotions seem to be the number one product I get the most after birthdays and Christmas, which means one of my beauty resolutions for 2013 is to finally use up all of these products I get and then 'save for later'.

1. White Citrus Body Lotion by Bath and Body Works
I received this lovely lotion for Christmas and gave it a little tester before putting it in my 'to-use' box (does anyone else have one of these?!). The lotion takes a little while to sink in but has a lovely soft citrus scent. I think I'll get a lot of use from this one as it's such a big bottle!

2. Glow Lotion by Soap and Glory
Soap and Glory are one of my favourite brands for skincare and whilst I've always used their best-selling Righteous Butter to death, this interesting lotion went to the back of my mind until I unearthed it recently. The lotion is designed to leave a subtle shimmer on places like the shins and collarbones, although I didn't notice too much of a difference when I tried it out. Despite this the smell is divine and it leaves my skin feeling like silk!

3. 'No.1' Lotion by Abercrombie and Fitch
I posted about this recently here and now that I've used it a few times I know for a fact that it's a really great product. I find that the formula is really good and dries super quickly, which is always a plus for me as one of the main reasons I didn't use body lotions much before was because they seem to take forever to sink in! Sometimes I can find the scent a little overpowering for a lotion so I use a little less, but it doesn't need all that much anyway to cover a lot of area.

4. Mango Body Butter by Alison Claire
Easily my favourite of the lot of these! I received this in a Glossybox a couple of months ago and since then it's become my firm favourite. The smell of mango is absolutely amazing and the natural ingredients means it's a little thicker than most lotions but absorbs quickly and lasts all day. It's a wonder product!

I've got a couple other beauty resolutions to share in the coming weeks so look out for those! Do you guys have any beauty resolutions this year?

  2. The white citrus one looks appealing, I'll definitely be giving it a sniff! I've got the S&G glow lotion, I love using it before a night out as I think it gives my skin extra radiance. xx

  3. This is one of my new year 'goals' too. I never moisturise enough or drink enough water so those two are my main beauty resolutions!

  5. White Citrus lotion and the Mango Butter sound absolutely DELICIOUS! I've also got a problem with storing lots of my creams, lotions and potions to use 'later' - but I never do! So I'm also trying to use my stored beauty bits more often this year!

  10. I rarely moisturize either, and yeah, I have one of those 'to use' boxes overflowing with products too! Hah! I recently brought the sugar & salt scrubs from Sanctuary & because they're full of essential oils they are super moisturizing too, I'm definitely more likely to use something like that than an actual moisturizer, I'm always in too much of a rush to wait for them to dry!

  17. One of my beauty resolutions is also to put body moisturiser on daily after showering and bathing, I have developed really dry skin especially on my shins and it is not a good luck. I need to get on with it though as I keep forgetting!!
