Awkward:
- There is no embarrassment to describe the inadvertently-creepy smile and wave I gave to a girl I know who didn't see for five seconds as I stood there awkwardly, creepily waving. It was awful.
- Hiccuping really loudly in the quiet section of the library... oops.
- Spending half an hour perfecting the list of people-I'd-like-to-meet-and-have-dinner-with, and then realising how sad this is.
- Working out that I'll never get through the Game of Thrones books by the time season three starts. :(
Awesome:
- Having loads of packages arrive! There's nothing better than getting a package.
- Finding loads of old postcards from 10+ years ago, one from a childhood friend and others from my grandparents. ♥
- My new Carpe Diem journal! I'll show it next week hopefully :)
- Having painted nails. What an amazing way to be creative and look polished.
- The good feedback I've been getting on my university work recently.
- Exciting emails!
- FINALLY reuniting my reindeer slipper with its counterpart after a month. I enjoy the simple things in life. ;)

I'd love to see your new journal! I have a bit of thing for notebooks, planners and journals... And I love painting my nails (I have on Essie Ballet Slippers at the moment). Loved this post!

Ooo can't wait to see your carpe diem journal! I have a little necklace that says carpe diem and it always brightens my day :) And I too wish I could complete Game of Thrones before the next season but there is no way. It is so huge!
ReplyDeleteHaha I've done that awkward wave before and it totally is just that - awkward. And yay for packages and post cards and lost-then-found reindeer slippers! The simple joys in life are the best :)
ReplyDeleteI always love an awkward wave! It's right up there with side stepping to get past someone!

I actually love creepy waving! Haha, it's so funny to watch, although not too fun to experience first hand. I'm sure everyone else thought it was cute and/or funny, not awkward. :)

I've recently realised the awesomeness of painted nails too, I've always been a serial nail-biter, but now they're growing I can paint them & totally get why all my friends love doing theirs now! Well done on the uni work as well, sounds like you deserve the praise after all your hard work! :)
